Cool Noah

Here is Mr Noah just being cool hanging out in his new flight jacket. He looks like he is ready to hop in a powered parachute and take off. He thinks he is something w/ his new jacket and I have to admit he does look pretty cool w/ it on. In the other picture Leah snapped it as he was sleeping in front on the tv. He loves to tuck his arms up under his head while he sleeps.
Everyone is doing great here, and we are probably not even going to stay up to bring the New Year in, but you never know. I have to work tomorrow, but Leah has the day off w/ the office being closed.
I guess another year is almost in the books, and this has been one busy year for us. I hope next year will be as good as this one was, and I know it is only going to get crazier as the little man gets older. Hopefully he will start talking and walking soon, and than I know we will have our hands full.
Again, I just want to thank everyone for a great year, and we hope everyone has a great and safe New Years.

XMAS at Nana and Papas

We had christmas the other day at the Funny Farm and I guess Noah's letter must have made it to Santa, because he was flooded w/ toys and clothes. We opened presents and Noah got to play w/ his new toys which I think he will start enjoying more and more as he gets older. You can see him in his little playstation in the picture and I believe he already loves this thing. He doesn't exactly know what to do when you put him in there, but he is learning quickly. We all had a great time, and after all the presents were opened it was time to eat dinner, and just like always I ate way too much, and did not leave any room for dessert. Nana and Papa always do a great job when they cook, and it is so hard to not eat more than you need when you are there. Noah's first Christmas was a lot of fun even though he really didn't know what we were doing we took a lot pictures to show him when he gets a little older. Sorry about not getting any Xmas cards out this year, but we have been crazy busy, and I think Leah is still talking about getting some out, so don't be surprised if you get a card late.
Hope everyone out there had a great Christmas and hope everyone has a safe New Years.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS from the entire Franks Family(Jerry,Leah,Noah, Ginger, and Sophie).

Early Xmas Dinner w/ family

We all went to Christiansburg last weekend and ate lunch w/ both families for an early Xmas dinner. Like always I ate too much and was miserable, but I just couldn't stop since it was so good. We had a good time and everyone went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house to enjoy some dessert which I had no room for. I know it was a little early, but w/ my schedule and Nana's schedule it is sometimes hard to get everyone together at Xmas. Noah was passed around quite a bit and was spoiled by everyone like usual.
One day when Grandma had him for the day they took Noah to visit Santa to see if he was good enough this year that Santa would come to see him. I believe Noah was so good for Santa that he did not even wake up for him no matter what they tried. I guess he has this Santa thing already figured out and knew if he slept thru the visit than he would not have to lie about being good this year.haha. We all know he is an angel and he will probably get at least one toy besides the heat pump this year, although that heat pump I thought was a pretty good present. Leah and I are going to try to get him to see Santa ourselves one day hopefully before Xmas, and maybe this time he will be awake to visit.

Seems like yesterday

Well, it hasn't been that long ago, but to me it seems like years since Noah was born. I was checking out some of the older pictures of Noah when he was born and could not believe how much he has changed. I thought I would put a couple shots from Leah being pregnant to after he was born to how he looks today. Time has really flown by and I guess before you know it he will be in high school.

Fun stuff

Here is Noah and Nana playing w/ one of the Xmas trains at the Funny Farm. He loves to watch the train go around w/ all its lights and sounds. We all sat around and watched him just be in amazement as the train circled him. Papa let him play w/ the this cup and in the pictures it looks just like he is trying to take a drink from it.

We are going to try to get my family and Leah's family together for a Xmas Dinner tomorrow. We are planning to all meet at my parents house and than probably go out for a late lunch. I will be sure to take some pictures of Noah w/ the entire family.
Leah's office is also having their get together today, but it looks like I will be working and not able to make it. I hope they take a lot of pictures so I will be able to post some of Noah hanging out w/ all his friends. They always have a good time, and I know they will be eating a some great food. I know that is one thing that I will be sad to miss is all food and great desserts.

Noah having fun

This was taken by Papa while Noah and him were hanging out at the Funny Farm. He is really starting to lift and hold his head good now. He is starting to really pay attention to what is going on around him. He will follow you w/ his eyes all around the room. He likes to know where every sound is coming from and trying to figure out what it is. We are all doing great now that the heat pump is installed and up and running. Noah is still hoping that Santa will visit him this year, but we will have to wait and see if has been good enough.

Christmas comes early at our House

We all went to bed Wednesday night to a nice warm house, but we woke up at around 4 in the morning to no heat. Our trusty heat pump decided it was time to quit and just happened to be one of the coldest weeks of the year. Leah and Noah packed up and went to the Funny Farm while I stayed and tried to keep the house warm enough to not bust any pipes. The heat pump was the original that came w/ the house and it was on borrowed time anyway since the house was built in 1984. Joe brought some heaters over, and between those and the wood stove we kept the house quite toasty.
The guys are here this morning putting in a new heat pump so we should be back to normal hopefully by this afternoon. Noah has been a trooper and hasn't complained a bit, but he doesn't know that his Xmas present this year will be a heated house, haha. Thank goodness he is not old enough to really know what Xmas is all about anyway. This was just really bad timing since we were planning on selling the house in the spring anyway, but at least now we can list a brand new heat pump w/ the house.
We took Noah to his doctors appointment this week, and everything is still looking good, and he is growing like a weed. We started him on rice cereal this week, and he is still trying to learn how to eat. I am sure if he is anything like his Dad he will learn pretty quick, and start to really like this new ability. Hopefully I will put some new pictures up by this afternoon of the little man.

Noah starting to read

Here is a couple shots of Noah reading his new favorite book. He loves to sit in his high chair and look at his book that has all kinds of colors and numbers in it. Noah loves to see the pages of his book turn and he thinks it is the coolest thing. Leah went out of town for work this past weekend and I know she was very happy to see him yesterday when she got back. Nana and Leah both went together, and it seems they were both having Noah withdrawal by the time they got back. Leah fed him his first food other than milk last night and it went pretty good. Papa and Nana got it ready for Noah while we put him in his high chair and bib. He did like any baby I hear at the start and pushed most of his food out that we put in his mouth. By the end we had food just about everywhere but in his stomach. It was fun and I really think by the end he was doing fairly good and I think he will catch on pretty quick. We didn't have a camera for his first feeding, but we will be sure to get plenty of shots next time he we feed him.
