We are getting ready for our trip to Mississippi in a couple days. It has been quite a while since I have visited family so this should be a lot of fun. We are all crossing our fingers that Noah will do ok for the long drive. This will be by far his longest time spent in a car, but I feel he will do just fine. Noahs favorite thing to do now is play on a slide. These pictures were taken near my parents house on a school playground. Papa put a slide inside his house and Noah loves to go up and down it. It also has a little room underneath it that he loves to get in and hide.

First Deer
I finally killed my first deer the other day, and it only took me 34 years. I am not your typical hardcore hunter, but I have went many times w/ no luck. This year I went at the Funny Farm and the first day I saw a doe, but couldn't get off a shot. The next day I went I got into a treestand and only about thirty minutes into it a doe came out and laid down in front of me. I almost took the shot, but decided to wait just to see if a buck would come along. Sure enough maybe an hour later this buck appeared and I became very nervous. I lined it up in the scope and pulled the trigger, but the deer jumped straight up and started running full speed right at me. Unsure if I hit it I continued to keep the gun on it till it finally started walking about 100 feet in front of me and I thought well maybe I missed, so I shot it again and this time it went down. After all was said and done I believe my first shot hit him in the neck and the second was the fatal shot. I was so excited I did not know what to do next so I just sat in the stand to make sure he didn't take off running again. I finally got down and walked over to it and found it was a six pointer. I would of called my Granddad right than if I had a phone because I knew he would be so happy I finally shot one. I talked to my Mom and she told me that his first deer was also a six pointer so I thought that was pretty cool. I believe I am hooked now, and hope I can get another before the season ends.

Halloween
Here is some shots of Noah during Halloween this year. He didn't really get the idea of going around and getting candy, but he sure liked the candy. We tried to get him to carry his pumpking so he could put his candy in, but all he wanted to do was throw it. We only went to the Funny Farm and the office, but we had a good time. Maybe next year he will catch on better.

Messy Noah
Here are a couple videos of Noah making a mess eating pizza w/ Leah and Papa. He is a pretty funny guy when he tries to feed himself. I am not sure if any of the food even makes it to his mouth. I believe this is video evidence of how Noah surely takes after his Mom.

Nap Time
Here is a shot I believe Leah got of Noah and Papa taking a nap together at our house. I think this was taken a while back on Grandparent day. I forgot I had this till I was going through some pictures and found it so I had to post it. The little guy loves his Papa and I think he is his favorite nap buddy. Looks like they were both pretty comfortable and in dreamland. Noah is taking fewer naps lately I guess since he is so busy getting into everything he just doesn't have the time.

Playing in the dirt and rocks
Noah has found a new favorite place to play and get dirty. He loves to sit in the gravel and throw rocks at the dogs. I have been watching him and I think he might be left-handed. I am not for sure, but he does seem to throw most of the time w/ his left. Lately we have been working in the garage a lot and he is content on just sitting in the driveway throwing rocks. Unfortunately he sometimes thinks the gravels are food so we do have to keep a pretty close eye on him. He really likes to pick all the gravel up and throw it in the garage, until he steps on one barefoot. He is all boy cause he loves to get dirty and I think he believes the dirtier he gets the better.
Looks like we are going to Mississippi in December to visit. Hopefully everything will work out and we will get to go around the first of December. I haven't been down to visit in quite a while, and it will be very interesting to see how Noah does a very long trip. I am very excited about going, and my Granddad has already told me that we would go hunting if I came down. I haven't been hunting w/ him in a very long time so hopefully if we go I will be able to kill a deer. It will also be nice to visit w/ family I haven't seen in a long time.

Best friends
Noah and Ginger seem to get along pretty well. I believe Ginger thinks her job is to protect Noah from anyone she doesn't know. Noah is a growing little man at 25lbs now after Papa Joe weighed him last week. Noah stays pretty busy these days and loves to get into everything. He has learned that he can drag a chair somewhere so he can climb on it and grab something that is normally out of reach. We had to seal our trash can in the kitchen since a lot of stuff has turned up missing and one day I found my keys on top of the trash. We believe Noah found Nanas phone at the Funny Farm and did the same thing to it throwing it away since it has been missing for a while. It is no telling what he did get thrown out before we caught on to him, but we are learning slowly, and hopefully we want lose anything else in the trash.

Happy Grandparents Day
We had a little get together at the house yesterday to celebrate Grandparents Day. We cooked out on the grill and had a good time visiting w/ everyone. My parents, Leahs parents, both of Leahs brothers, and her Grandmother were all there. Dad and I went fishing on the lake that morning and I let Dad catch more fish than me since it was Grandparents Day. Just kidding, we had a great time on the lake and we did actually both catch a lot of fish, unfortunately none were trophies so we let all of them go. As you can see in the pictures Noah was enjoying his first corn on the cob, and I think he really liked it. Noah is really getting around well now, and he actually likes to walk on his own. We have to keep him away from the stairs unless we are w/ him, because he loves to play on the stairs. He is also learning that he can climb on things now, so he has found a whole new world to explore.

Noahs first haircut
We took Noah for his first haircut today and it was one heck of an experience. He was fine while he waited his turn and actually having fun in the barber shop. Then it was his turn, and that is where the fun stopped. He did not like having the sheet around him to keep the hair off and not having his hands free to roam. It took the barber, myself, and Leah to get his first haircut and it was a workout from start to end, but he came out looking like a new man. The barber did a great job w/ Noah and if it wasn't for him I think we would still be there trying to get his haircut. The barber said it might take around 4 or 5 times before he gets comfortable w/ getting his haircut.

More beach photos
Here are a couple more pictures of Noah on his first beach trip. We buried Noah in the sand, but he didn't care for that very much and got out as fast as he could. He also loved the kiddy pool at the Condo so he spent a lot of time in there. He could run in the pool while he was in his float and loved it. We would take him into the main pool sometimes and he actually was getting into jumping into the pool from the side as long as someone was there to catch him. I have not put the videos from the beach on here yet, but as soon as I do I will post them.
I would have posted some more from the beach, but I was unable to connect back to the Internet halfway through the week. While we were at the beach Mr Noah took his first steps on his own. After he figured out he could do it he really has taken off from their. Now it seems like he is always walking somewhere on his own, but he is still working on his balance and when he is not sure of himself he resorts back to crawling. Everyone had a great time at the beach, and hopefully next year Noah will be swimming on his own.

Noahs first look at the beach
We are in North Carolina at the Outer Banks w/ family on vacation for Noahs first beach trip. He was a little nervous at first site of the big ocean, but once he got in the water he loved it. I think his favorite thing to do is walk down the beach right on the edge of the water and sand. The first couple days the water was pretty rough, but looks like today the waves have calmed down to normal. I tried to surf fish yesterday afternoon, but the water was to rough, and I only caught one small fish. I am going to give it another shot this afternoon, and hopefully I will have better luck. Noah loves the pool down here and he is having a blast in his little floater running around the pool. I will post some new videos on here soon as I get them off of YouTube.

Noah turns One
The little man is one now, and wow what a year it has been. It is hard to believe he is one year old now. It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital going what do we do now? We have learned a lot this year, and hopefully we will remember most of it for the next one. We had a birthday party for him at our house on Sunday and all the family came over to help Noah celebrate. Leah got Noah his own personal cake to eat or you could say destroy and than a second cake for everyone else to enjoy. It took him a while to figure out what to do w/ the cake, but once he got his fingers into it he was all mess. Noah got a bunch of new toys to play w/ and he wanted me to thank everyone for coming and for all his new gifts.

Almost walking
Noah is really getting close to walking on his own now. He is able to walk w/ our help, but he is still not to sure about doing it by himself. He has finally started crawling so we have to really keep an eye on him now. He is learning about a whole new world out there in cabinets and doors. He has learned to crawl up the stairs now as well so I guess it want be long that we will need a leash on him. Noahs birthday is coming up soon and I am sure he is going to enjoy it. These pictures were taken a while back when we met my parents and brother for breakfast on Father's Day. You can see the one picture that Noah already thinks he is old enough to drive a car. Still no offers on our house so for now we are just waiting and hoping that it will sell so we can finally move closer to the Funny Farm.

Cburg Visit
Here are a couple pictures from when Noah went to Christiansburg to visit his Grandparents. He loves to stand up now and he is getting pretty good at standing on his own as well. We think he might be walking on his own by the time he turns one year old. He will walk all the way around the couch but he has to at least keep one hand on the couch for stability. I guess we better get ready for him walking around on his own and getting into everything soon enough.

Noahs first Merry-Go-Round
We went shopping today at Tanglewood Mall and their was a small Merry-go-round for kids to ride on so we had to put him on it and see what he would do. Leah walked around w/ him for safety, but Noah didn't need any help, and he loved it. We had to put another dollar in the machine so he could ride again. He thought he was the Man riding around and I even hopped up on w/ him once to get some video and pictures. My new phone got these pictures and I got some video, but I haven't figured out how to get the video off of the phone yet. Hopefully I will figure out how to get these videos off my phone soon before I lose them.

Noahs first Carnival
We took Noah to his first Carnival the other week in Roanoke. He seemed to like the helicopter the best that was taking people for rides over Roanoke. The only ride we were brave enough to take him on was the ferris wheel. I believe at first he was a little nervous, but once it went around a couple times he seemd to really like it. Actually he liked the shuttle ride over to the Carnival from the parking garage the best. He really enjoyed looking out the big windows as we went thru downtown instead of always riding in his babyseat where he can't really see anything. Noah almost pulled the stop cord once, and I didn't even notice he was playing with it. We can't wait till he gets old enough to actually get on the rides, because I think he is going to be one of those kids that will ride all day.

Noah playing in his pool
Here is a video I got yesterday of Noah playing in his pool at the Funny Farm. He really loves to play in the water and I know once he gets old enough we will be dragging him out of the big pool because he is all pruned up from being in there all day. Once the big pool is filled and ready I will have to get him in it and see what he thinks.

Born to Ride
Noah loves to go for a ride on anything we will put him on. He thinks it is so much fun to ride the four-wheeler around the Funny Farm. I guess when he gets a little older we will have to get him his own four-wheeler so he go exploring the property. No luck on selling the house yet, but we have our fingers crossed that we will sell it soon.

Noah hanging w/ the Grandparents
Noah spent a couple days w/ Grandmama and Granddad this weekend in Christiansburg. This is a picture of his new baby grand piano they got him and he looks like he is enjoying it. Only problem is Papa is the one and only person who actually can play the piano so Noah will have to take lessons from Papa once he gets old enough. Noah is really getting around good now in his walker and he will follow you anywhere you go while he is in it. He really thinks he is something walking around now with his new freedom so he spends most of his day exploring the house on his own.
We celebrated our 5th year anniversary this weekend by going to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. We had a great time and rode a lot of rides and we both were talking about how much fun Noah will have here once he is old and tall enough to ride. It was fun to get out of town and relax for a change, but we were both excited to get back to our little squirt and back to normal life. Our house if officially on the market now so we are crossing our fingers hoping it will sell before to long so we can start on our new house. We have the spot picked out for the new one and I believe we have the house for the most part picked as well except for minor details.
