Bath Time

Noah loves to get clean in the bathtub or let me say he likes to get in the tub and splash water. He will stay in there as long as you will leave him. Noah spent a couple days w/ Grandma and Grandpa and we found out that Noah can now slide on his belly backwards. We were all sitting around the living room and all of a sudden Noah started moving backwards until he ran into something. I think he will be crawling full speed very soon, and boy will we have our hands full than. We are trying to catch him sliding on video so I can post it on here, but he just want cooperate right now.

Sleeping like a baby

Leah went in Noah's room the other night to check on him, and found him sleeping like a rock w/ his passy on top of him. We are not really sure how this happened, but we both thought it was pretty funny. I guess this might be a way for him to know exactly where it is when he wakes up.

Superboy

My parents and Leahs parents came over the other night to visit the famous Superboy. My parents are heading down to Mississippi to visit family for a week and they had to see Noah one last time before they left. They wanted to kidnap him for the trip down, but I do not think he is up for that long of a drive yet. We had a good time, and of course the little man was spoiled by everyone like usual. We are getting very close to putting our house on the market, and I forgot how much I hate painting till I needed to paint some rooms before we sell. It looks like we might be ready for the market in about 2 to 3 weeks.

Two new videos of Mr Noah

Here are a couple videos of Noah playing w/ the Elmo Toy Car. He really likes to ride it, well, he really likes to sit on it and have someone else push him around. He has us trained so well, that I do not know if he will ever crawl or walk since we do everything for him. He has started saying DA-DA all the time, but that is the only thing he will say. We are working on him to get some new words in their. Grandmama and Granddad are getting ready to leave town and go visit our family in Mississippi tomorrow. They will gone for about a week, so we are going to meet them in town today so they can see Noah one more time before they leave. You would think they are going away for a year.haha.

Noah in his new lazy-boy

Here are a couple shots of Noah w/ some new toys. He loves to sit in this chair and play his piano or whatever you put in front of him. As you can see he has one of my computer cords in his mouth which no it is not plugged in. Leah took Noah to his doctors appointment on Thursday and everything is going great, and he weighed in at 21lbs. He did get a couple shots so he wasn't so happy about that, but who likes getting shots?
This is my first post since the VT shooting, and it really hits home since my family lives there still and Leah went to VT. It is so hard to believe that it happened in our back yard, and I am like so many other people that believed that something like that would never happen around here. Our prayers go out to everyone at VT and the families of the victims.

Going for a ride

Here is Noah and Ginger waiting for me to give them a ride somewhere. They both love to go for rides and are willing to go anytime anywhere. Everyone is doing fine and we are just watching Noah grow up so fast. He is starting to wave to us and he is also starting to copy some of the things we do. Papa had him clapping w/ him the other day while they were both playing the piano. Hopefully it want be to long now before he starts talking and letting us know what is going on in his head.

MDA Bowl-A-Thon

Here is a picture of the guys I bowled with last weekend in Salem for the MDA. The guys in the picture are from right to left (Tim Perry, Mac Craft, Duane Noell, Jon Van Dam, and of course me). Jon was by far the best bowler we had, and I believe the rest of us were just there to make sure the gutters stayed clear. I think the MDA is going to do another bowl-a-thon in the fall, and if we are not working we might try to put together another team. If you would like to donate to the MDA this would be a great time and we would greatly appreciate the support of our team. I also put a link on here of me bowling from a not so natural stance. It was probably one the best balls I threw all day, but I missed a strike by one pin.

Bath Time

Noah spent a couple days last week w/ Grandma and Grandpa. He seems to always get a couple baths when he is there clean or dirty no matter. I do not believe he minds since he gets to play in the water which he loves. He also gets to hang out in the antique mall while they get some work done. I think he enjoys this as well since their is so much stuff for him to look at.
Leahs younger brother Robert celebrated his birthday today and man he is getting old. haha We all went out to Ruby Tuesdays for lunch so him and Leah were able to sneak away from work for a quick birthday lunch. Robert is working full time at the office and also in school right now to finish up his paramedic. I believe his plans are to finish up his medic and than continue school to get his Registered Nurse degree so he can almost get a job anywhere. He is really good w/ people and is very caring so I think if he stays in the medical field he will be a great asset wherever he works.

Noah playing in the yard

It was so nice yesterday that Leah and Noah played in the yard for a little while. I was cutting the grass while they took in some sunshine. Noah had a good time, and he thought it was so funny when Ginger would take off after a stick in the leaves. Here is a link to Noah laughing at Ginger playing in the leaves.

Dr Franks

Noah might become a doctor just like his Nana or Mom when he gets older. I guess he will be surrounded by medical people the whole time he is growing up so I wouldn't doubt him taking an interest in the field. We will probably need all the first-aid training we can get once he gets up and running.
We went out last night and celebrated Leah's birthday and had a good time. I met some of the girls from the office and we walked over to Ruby Tuesdays and had a nice dinner. Feel like the weather is finally breaking and we are starting to warm up. I hope it stays warm so we can take Mr Noah for some outdoor walks I am sure he would enjoy.

Noah and Ginger

Here is Noah hanging out w/ Ginger on our bed. I think Noah and Ginger are going to be very close friends once Noah gets a little older. Noah can be crying, screaming mad and when he sees Ginger walk in the room he almost always gets a smile on his face. Ginger is still very protective of him and I hope she will stay that way as he grows. Sometimes Ginger doesn't even approve of the way I play w/ Noah. She will get a little bit excited when I am playing w/ Noah and she will try to get my attention. I can only imagine the adventures these two will go on in the woods when Noah gets older.
Papa told me he weighed Noah yesterday and he is still around 20lbs. I guess he has kind of stalled a bit in his growth. I have noticed he doesn't seem to eat as much for lunch and dinner now, but I am sure that will change again soon.
Today is Leahs birthday and I think we are going out tonight after she gets off work to celebrate. She will turn the very young old age of 30 today. I guess I can not give her to hard of time about getting old since no matter what I will always be older than her. Grandmama said she wishes she could slow down her age, so she could watch Noah grow up. Time does fly and before you know it your working full time, married, and have a family to take care of. I guess it is all part of life, and hopefully we will all be around for a long time so we can see Noah grow, and maybe even have a couple brothers or sisters to play with.

Noah playing Mozart

This piano is one of Noah's favorite toys at the Funny Farm. He loves to sit in his lion chair and act like Papa by playing his mini-grand. He still likes to taste it just to make sure he is not suppose to eat his piano instead of play it sometimes. Papa said Noah is starting to like to bang the keys around on the real piano now as well. I guess when he gets a little older we will have to get him some real piano lessons.
I guess I almost spoke to soon on how well Noah has been going through his teething time. It seems like ever since I put that last post up he has not been a very happy camper in the late afternoon. He gets himself all worked up and the only thing we can think of is his teeth are bothering him. I had to buy another car seat for my truck since the one I was using only went up to 20lbs. I took on the job of installing it yesterday, and let me tell you it kicked my butt. I did a lot better than the first one I put in, but it seems like no matter how tight you get it, it just never really fits well. I think that some of the problem is my truck seat is small, but I still don't know why they make them so impossible to get in. Joe and I were talking yesterday about how new cars should just have them installed in them so you can just unfold them when needed.
I go back to the heart doctor today so they can run one more test just to make sure everything is working as it should. I feel great, and actually I think most of my palpitations are gone or actually I think I am just so use to them that I dont even notice them. Hopefully after this test I want have anything to worry about and I will back to normal.haha

First tooth

Noah has two teeth now on the bottom and it seems like they came in without to much trouble. I have heard terrible stories about babies teething, and I have to admit so far it hasn't been that bad. Here are some pics of Noah hanging out at the Funny Farm w/ Papa and Nana. He loves to hang out w/ them and I believe they like having him around as well. haha. It want be long before he is running around the farm building forts and taking us on wild adventures all over the land. I think we will all love living close by because of all the fun we will have and their will always be someone around to keep an eye on the little man as we know he will be into everything. I hope to have our house ready to go on the market soon so he can all adjust to living on the farm.
Nana's surgery went great, and as expected she was ready to go as soon as she woke up. She was ready to go back to work that day if they would have let her, but I think a couple days off was good for her. We could all tell even in the hospital she was anxious to get back to work as soon as she could. She is a pretty amazing lady considering how busy she stays and how she is able to keep up w/out slowing down. I know at my job I have one long night it takes me a couple days to catch up so I wish I had half the energy she does.
I really like the new station I am working out of, but it is a night and day difference compared to the one I was at. We stay busy running calls, and usually we are up and down all night. The types of calls we run keep you on your toes, and we really get to see some of the wild and crazy people of Roanoke. I plan on taking my camera to the station and get some pictures soon and once I do I will put them on here and show you some of the crazies I work with. We have a great crew and we all get along great which helps get through those long nights having fun and picking on each other constantly.

Laughing Noah

I was hanging out w/ Noah today and after I sneezed he started laughing at me. So I grabbed the camera and started filming him as I did some more sneezing. He was having a really good time laughing at me. He is really starting to laugh a lot more, and just seems to be very curious about everything he sees. I have heard a thousand times that do not put anything near a baby because they will put it in their mouth. I have found this to be so true, because if you turn away for just a second he will find something that you did not know was near him and try to eat it. I have been pretty lucky so far and as far as I know he has not digested anything he wasn't suppose to. I have still been trying to put the videos on the site, but unfortunately I am still unable to load them directly on the site. I guess until Noah gets old enough to help me w/ the computer I will have to keep putting just the links to them.

Noah w/ his first horse

Noah spent a couple days last week w/ Grandma and Grandpa where he got his first horse. I think he was pretty happy w/ it and seemed to love riding it. I guess it will be quite a while before he is up and riding a real horse. Noah is starting to roll over on his own now, and it shouldn't be long to when he will start crawling. He can really sit up on his own well now, and he is also becoming very vocal. Although we can't understand what he is saying, he seems very happy to just muble away while he is smiling. We have both been very busy lately, but I believe it should slow down here in the next couple weeks and we can get back to normal. I have a lot of new pictures and video of Noah that I will try to get posted as soon as I get a chance to go through them.
We went out to eat last night w/ Papa, Nana, Granny, and Martha. Noah slept thru most of the dinner, but he finally woke up and joined us for the second half. Diane is going to have surgery soon and we met after her doctors appointment. I think Leah said this will be her first surgery of her life, and I think that is pretty impresive. I guess she has just never had time to get ill or hurt. I hope Noah is like her, and he will not need any surgery or hospital visits until we get much older if ever.

Wild Child

This is Noah sitting in his chair that he eats in, but he was playing w/ his toys this time. We are trying to get him to settle down while he eats his dinner and lunch. He usually is pretty good about breakfast, but the other two I think we can not get the food in his mouth quick enough. I asked my parents if I was like this when I was young, and Mom said I was always good during feeding. So my next thought was it must me from Leah's side of the family, but after asking her parents, all of their children did great w/ feeding time as well. So I guess this just means that our little guy is a man of his own, and we will have to write our own book on him. I put one of his bowls on his head like a hat in the picture. The funny thing about Noah is his favorite toys right now, which are balled up paper, bowls, and a empty paper towel roll.
Joe is having surgery again today, and I believe he is out now and doing great. Hopefully this will be his last one so he will be able to heal up in time for spring. Joe is pretty tough so I do not see him staying down to long and he will be back working on the Funny Farm before you know it.
Leah weighed Noah yesterday and he was a whopping 19.5 lbs. He started off small, but I am starting to wonder what this guy is going to top off at. I guess time will tell, and I guess I better go on and get that second job to help float the food bill. HaHa
The other picture is of Granddad holding Noah a couple weeks ago when we visited them. I also have some good new videos of Noah that I will work on putting on here very soon.

Growing up fast

Here is Noah sitting in his crib and playing w/ some of his toys. He does a really good job now of sitting up on his own, but when he does fall over we have to give him a little help to get back up. He is also really learning how to use his full lungs of air now when he needs something. I think he is figuring us out, and he knows exactly how to get what he wants when he wants. He still does not have any teeth out yet, but it could be any day now. Anything he can get his hands on goes straight to his mouth. When he does eat he is so funny because he will throw a fit because you are not feeding him fast enough. I think we need to get a funnel for him so that we can keep him satisfied. haha. I guess he is going to be just like his Daddy and never have a full stomach. We are having some cold weather here today and it really windy so I don't think we will be doing much outside anytime soon. I cut some wood yesterday so we could use it in the wood stove this week. Noah loves to watch the fire being built and burn when I make it. Im on vacation right now, and my main job is to try to get as much of the house ready to sale as I can. We just had our leaking skylights fixed the other day, and now the rest should be small stuff. We hope to have our house on the market before summer.

Noahs first OUCH!

Noah has his first ouch the other day. Leah was helping Noah stand which he normally does very well w/ a little assistance when with no warning he fell into his toy station. Leah said he fell so quick, but luckily he has a head like me and only got a small scratch above his eye. Iam sure this will not be the last one. The other picture is a good one of me and Noah to see how Noah already has more hair on his head than me.
Noah's Papa(Leahs Dad) had back surgery this week and it seems to have went well. I was over the Funny Farm yesterday and he is getting around great for someone who just had back surgery. Joe is pretty tough and he seems to take pain in stride so I guess we shouldn't have excpected anything less. He is already missing his tractor and being able to work on the farm since he is grounded for around 2 weeks from the surgery. Hopefully recooperating from this surgery Joe will back to his normal self and roughing it on the Funny Farm.

Pictures from Grandmamas

Noah spent the other day in Christiansburg and Grandmama can never get enough pictures. These are a couple she sent me today. As you can see sometimes Noah likes to wear his food instead of eating it. He is really doing well w/ eating, but sometimes he just is not in the mood to be fed, and all he wants is his bottle.
We are all just hanging out together at the house today just watching the sleet come down. So far it doesn't appear to be that bad outside, but I think we are still under a winter ice advisory. I guess we will just stay inside and stay warm by the fire till it is nice again outside.

Having fun

Here is Noah hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's house a couple weeks ago. We took Noah for his six months doctors appoinment today, and everything went great. He is just over 18lbs and I think she said he was 27 inches long. After a slow start when he was born he is now on the top end of his growth charts and doesn't show any signs of slowing down.
