Cool Noah

Here is Mr Noah just being cool hanging out in his new flight jacket. He looks like he is ready to hop in a powered parachute and take off. He thinks he is something w/ his new jacket and I have to admit he does look pretty cool w/ it on. In the other picture Leah snapped it as he was sleeping in front on the tv. He loves to tuck his arms up under his head while he sleeps.
Everyone is doing great here, and we are probably not even going to stay up to bring the New Year in, but you never know. I have to work tomorrow, but Leah has the day off w/ the office being closed.
I guess another year is almost in the books, and this has been one busy year for us. I hope next year will be as good as this one was, and I know it is only going to get crazier as the little man gets older. Hopefully he will start talking and walking soon, and than I know we will have our hands full.
Again, I just want to thank everyone for a great year, and we hope everyone has a great and safe New Years.

XMAS at Nana and Papas

We had christmas the other day at the Funny Farm and I guess Noah's letter must have made it to Santa, because he was flooded w/ toys and clothes. We opened presents and Noah got to play w/ his new toys which I think he will start enjoying more and more as he gets older. You can see him in his little playstation in the picture and I believe he already loves this thing. He doesn't exactly know what to do when you put him in there, but he is learning quickly. We all had a great time, and after all the presents were opened it was time to eat dinner, and just like always I ate way too much, and did not leave any room for dessert. Nana and Papa always do a great job when they cook, and it is so hard to not eat more than you need when you are there. Noah's first Christmas was a lot of fun even though he really didn't know what we were doing we took a lot pictures to show him when he gets a little older. Sorry about not getting any Xmas cards out this year, but we have been crazy busy, and I think Leah is still talking about getting some out, so don't be surprised if you get a card late.
Hope everyone out there had a great Christmas and hope everyone has a safe New Years.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS from the entire Franks Family(Jerry,Leah,Noah, Ginger, and Sophie).

Early Xmas Dinner w/ family

We all went to Christiansburg last weekend and ate lunch w/ both families for an early Xmas dinner. Like always I ate too much and was miserable, but I just couldn't stop since it was so good. We had a good time and everyone went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house to enjoy some dessert which I had no room for. I know it was a little early, but w/ my schedule and Nana's schedule it is sometimes hard to get everyone together at Xmas. Noah was passed around quite a bit and was spoiled by everyone like usual.
One day when Grandma had him for the day they took Noah to visit Santa to see if he was good enough this year that Santa would come to see him. I believe Noah was so good for Santa that he did not even wake up for him no matter what they tried. I guess he has this Santa thing already figured out and knew if he slept thru the visit than he would not have to lie about being good this year.haha. We all know he is an angel and he will probably get at least one toy besides the heat pump this year, although that heat pump I thought was a pretty good present. Leah and I are going to try to get him to see Santa ourselves one day hopefully before Xmas, and maybe this time he will be awake to visit.

Seems like yesterday

Well, it hasn't been that long ago, but to me it seems like years since Noah was born. I was checking out some of the older pictures of Noah when he was born and could not believe how much he has changed. I thought I would put a couple shots from Leah being pregnant to after he was born to how he looks today. Time has really flown by and I guess before you know it he will be in high school.

Fun stuff

Here is Noah and Nana playing w/ one of the Xmas trains at the Funny Farm. He loves to watch the train go around w/ all its lights and sounds. We all sat around and watched him just be in amazement as the train circled him. Papa let him play w/ the this cup and in the pictures it looks just like he is trying to take a drink from it.

We are going to try to get my family and Leah's family together for a Xmas Dinner tomorrow. We are planning to all meet at my parents house and than probably go out for a late lunch. I will be sure to take some pictures of Noah w/ the entire family.
Leah's office is also having their get together today, but it looks like I will be working and not able to make it. I hope they take a lot of pictures so I will be able to post some of Noah hanging out w/ all his friends. They always have a good time, and I know they will be eating a some great food. I know that is one thing that I will be sad to miss is all food and great desserts.

Noah having fun

This was taken by Papa while Noah and him were hanging out at the Funny Farm. He is really starting to lift and hold his head good now. He is starting to really pay attention to what is going on around him. He will follow you w/ his eyes all around the room. He likes to know where every sound is coming from and trying to figure out what it is. We are all doing great now that the heat pump is installed and up and running. Noah is still hoping that Santa will visit him this year, but we will have to wait and see if has been good enough.

Christmas comes early at our House

We all went to bed Wednesday night to a nice warm house, but we woke up at around 4 in the morning to no heat. Our trusty heat pump decided it was time to quit and just happened to be one of the coldest weeks of the year. Leah and Noah packed up and went to the Funny Farm while I stayed and tried to keep the house warm enough to not bust any pipes. The heat pump was the original that came w/ the house and it was on borrowed time anyway since the house was built in 1984. Joe brought some heaters over, and between those and the wood stove we kept the house quite toasty.
The guys are here this morning putting in a new heat pump so we should be back to normal hopefully by this afternoon. Noah has been a trooper and hasn't complained a bit, but he doesn't know that his Xmas present this year will be a heated house, haha. Thank goodness he is not old enough to really know what Xmas is all about anyway. This was just really bad timing since we were planning on selling the house in the spring anyway, but at least now we can list a brand new heat pump w/ the house.
We took Noah to his doctors appointment this week, and everything is still looking good, and he is growing like a weed. We started him on rice cereal this week, and he is still trying to learn how to eat. I am sure if he is anything like his Dad he will learn pretty quick, and start to really like this new ability. Hopefully I will put some new pictures up by this afternoon of the little man.

Noah starting to read

Here is a couple shots of Noah reading his new favorite book. He loves to sit in his high chair and look at his book that has all kinds of colors and numbers in it. Noah loves to see the pages of his book turn and he thinks it is the coolest thing. Leah went out of town for work this past weekend and I know she was very happy to see him yesterday when she got back. Nana and Leah both went together, and it seems they were both having Noah withdrawal by the time they got back. Leah fed him his first food other than milk last night and it went pretty good. Papa and Nana got it ready for Noah while we put him in his high chair and bib. He did like any baby I hear at the start and pushed most of his food out that we put in his mouth. By the end we had food just about everywhere but in his stomach. It was fun and I really think by the end he was doing fairly good and I think he will catch on pretty quick. We didn't have a camera for his first feeding, but we will be sure to get plenty of shots next time he we feed him.

Noah w/ Great Uncle Lodi

Uncle Lodi(Nanas brother) came in for Thanksgiving and was able to visit with everyone and here is a picture of him haning out w/ the little wild man. I just got Joe's camera and I am going trough all of his pictures from Thanksgiving so I know they are a little late but better late than never right.
We took Noah to his regular doctors appointment yesterday and everything was fine and his new measurements are little over 15lbs, and 25"long. The Doc said he looks good, and he is growing right on average so we were happy.

Here is a link to the newest video I put on the site and it is of Noah hanging out w/ Mom trying to talk towards the end of it. I dont believe it will be too long before we want be able to keep him quiet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=endiqm6AzZM

2 Links to new videos of Mr Noah

Here is a couple links to new videos of Mr Noah hanging out w/ friends at the Funny Farm. This is the only way that I can seem to get the video to the blog. I dont know about the second one, that just isn't right teasing him w/ the bottle like that. He is really focused on the bottle and you can surely tell he is going to be like his Dad and always keep his eyes on the food. I am still trying to get the video directly to it, but no luck so far.

Noah w/ Papa

Here is some new shots of Noah hanging out w/ Papa out at the Funny Farm. Joe had his neck surgery a while back and he has been on light duty since so he has been able to spend a lot of time w/ the little man watching television. I believe Noah has a new favorite past time and that is watching tv. He loves to watch tv and I think he could sit in front of it for hours. He also loves to read magazines as long as someone flips the pages for him.
We had a great Thanksgiving this year and had breakfast w/ my parents, and than we had turkey dinner at Leah's parents. All the food was great and I am sure we all gained a couple extra unwanted pounds yesterday. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there, and hope everyones Thanksgiving was just as fun as ours.

Unable to post new video

I have been trying for some time now to get new video of Noah posted on the site, but I am having all kinds of problems. So for now I guess if you want to see any new video of Noah and family you can see them on YouTube.com and just type in Noah Franks in the search and that will bring all his videos up. I will keep trying to get them on here, but for some reason they will not travel over from youtube to my site.
Noah is doing great and last weight he was up to I believe 14lbs. He did travel to Cburg the other day to spend the entire day and night w/ Grandmama and Granddad. They had a great time w/ him, and I believe Noah was not blinded to bad w/ all the flashes from Grandmama's camera.
I will put a link to YOUTUBE.com on my site until I can figure out how to get them on here.

Nap time

I caught Leah taking a nap this morning while Noah was wide awake and having a good time. I heard him moving around and when I walked up to the couch he was just smiling away. We spent yesterday just hanging out and watching football on tv. He loves to watch tv and he will just stare at the tv trying to figure out what is going on. I think we are just going to hang out today and watch the little weed grow. I have the camera again so I should be able to update the blog a little more frequently w/ new pictures.
I have found out what the true difference is between breast milk and formula lately. Using breast milk from the start I had no idea that formula would change the smell Noahs after product so much. We have been slowly switching over to formula and while doing this I could use a gas mask to change his diaper. Somedays it is not to bad, but others it will make you really switch into hight gear while you are changing him.

Here we go

Sorry it has been so long since I put any new pictures up but I have been pretty lazy lately. These are a couple pictures that I took a while back of the little guy having a good time. I actually misplace our camera but it is found now so I will get on the ball and get some new shots of Noah soon. I promise he is still growing like a weed. He has been doing really good at night and sleeping from about 9 till we get up in the morning and that has been great for us. We are actually able to get back to a normal routine and getting caught back up on our sleep we were missing out on. He has also really starting to get nosy about whats going on around him, and he thinks he needs to see everything. Noah has been a traveling man lately with going to TN for Mia's wedding and he just got back from a UVA trip him and Mom was on. He does really good traveling and just hangs out in his car seat trying to see everything he can.

Mia's Wedding

Here are some shots that Leah got this past weekend in TN of Mia's wedding. She said it was a beautiful wedding and Miah seemed very happy and excited. Mia has been planning this wedding for a long time now and I am glad everything went as planned. I know Mia is very happy and also relieved that the wedding is finally over.
Noah also was in attendance and Leah said he was very well behaved and slept through most of the wedding.
Congrats to Wally and Mia wishing you both many years of happiness together. I am sorry that I couldn't make it but I know a good time was had by all.

Noah hanging w/ Papa on the Funny Farm

Noah likes to hang out at the Funny Farm so he can catch up on all the news in the world w/ his Papa. Joe and Noah like to hang out together and watch the news on the tv. When they aren't watching tv he gets first class limosine service in the all terrain stroller. This stroller does Noah just like riding in a car and puts him right to sleep. He thinks he is hot stuff being pushed around in his stroller and it works great on the farm so we can push it all over the land w/ no problems. I think Noah really enjoys hangning w/ Papa because he must be the perfect temperature and loves to relax on his chest. He will crawl up on Papas chest like a tree frog and crash.
Leah said that Nana was holding Noah the other day in her lap while she was typing and he just started laughing out loud like he was laughing at the way Nana was typing. We will have to get a video camera near her next time she is typing w/ Noah so we can catch it on film.
Noah will be heading to another wedding this weekend coming up. He will have already been to two wedding before he is even 4 months old. Hopefully we will get some good shots of the wedding and Noah for the site. One of Leahs friends from the office is getting married in TN on Saturday and I believe a lot of the employees are going to be able to attend. Good luck to the bride and groom and I know it will be a great wedding.

happy little man

Here are a couple shots I got yesterday as Noah and I spent the day together. He is really starting to smile a lot and I believe he actually is starting to see us and that might be why he is laughing all the time. We had a great together together and he is also starting to sleep most of the night. It is nothing for us to put him to bed in his crib around 9 and not hear from him again till in the morning. We both dont believe it will be too long before little Noah will be talking and walking all over the place. We are giving him plenty of tummy time right now so he can build up his muscles for later. Hopefully we will both be there to witness him talk and walk for the first time.

Granddad turns another year older

We all went up to visit the other day to celebrate Granddads birthday. We went up a little early to visit Grandma at work so she could show off her little grandson. Than we took Granddad out to eat for his birthday and he seemed to enjoy it. We had a good time and than we went back to the house and visited for a while before heading home. I forgot to get him a card for his birthday, but next year I will remember since I think he really likes getting them in the mail. Happy Birtday Dad and I hope you will have many more to celebrate.

Joes studio and caught in another nap

Joe has a new studio downtown Roanoke so he can show some of his artwork. I have not been there yet, but Leah went down the other day when he was working on it, and snapped a couple shots. I believe the studio is a place where Joe can work on his art and at the same time the public are allowed to come in and view his work while he is there.
The other picture on here is where Leah caught me and Noah taking a nap together. Leah is getting pretty good at catching us napping, but you just have to adjust your schedule around his, and sleep when he does. I was at work yesterday and one of the Captains grandkids came to visit and I found out he was born the exact same day as Noah, but this kid weighed around 18lbs. Noah probably weighs around 12-14lbs and looked so small compared to him.

Internet problems

Here are a couple shots of Mr Noah that I got today as we were hanging out. Noah is starting to really show his personality now and it is funny to watch him. He is smiling and really following you with his eyes now. He will just stare at you and sometimes he will just laugh at you.
He still hasn't figured out totally that you are suppose to sleep at night, but he is doing better and we are working w/ him.
Sorry that it has been a while since I last posted, but we were having internet problems here at the house. Now that it appears to be fixed I will back to posting regularly and keeping up w/ the little squirt as he keeps growing like a weed.

Great Granddads visit

These are some of the shots from the other day at Mom's house. The one picture shows four generations from my Granddad to Mom, me and than Noah. In the one picture you can all of us playing cards and unfortunately yours truly did not do so well. We always play a game called Knock and I believe Aunt Shelda won one, and Aunt Barbara won the other. Even though Dad would tell you he is the best player there and he just wasn't able to catch cards.

Great Granddad visits from Mississippi

Great Granddad w/ Noah
Yesterday was a very special day for all of us because Noah was able to finally meet his Great Granddad from MS. This is a video that a got yesterday of them hanging out together w/ Mom. They were only in for one day so we spent most of Saturday visiting w/ family. Granddad was drove up here by my Aunt Barbara and Aunt Shelda. They left to go back early this morning and we hope that the next time we get together will be the week after Xmas. As long as I am on the same shift at work that I am now we will try to go down and visit them and show off little Noah to everyone down there.
I think Granddad was very pround of Noah and he really seemed to take a liking to him. As always Granddad told us a lot of stories and I believe I could sit around all day and listen to him tell them. It is really something to listen to how everything was so different back when he was young and how so many things have changed since than. I wish they could have stayed longer, but they needed to get back home and we are just glad they were able to come and visit.

Father/Son nap

Leah caught me and Noah taking a afternoon nap the other day. I thought the best way to show Noah how to catch a good nap was to show him first hand. I have learned that you have to get your sleep when you can since we are completly on Noahs schedule. I am sure that this is just one of many naps to come in our future.
My Granddad will be in to visit this weekend and we will be going up to Cburg for the day tomorrow to visit. We are so excited about Noah meeing his Great-Granddad and we know little Noah is also excited, but he just isn't able to say it yet.

Noah Smiling for the camera

Noah Smiling

Here is a video of little Noah smiling yesterday for the camera. He is really starting to interact more and seems to be really able to focus on things now. He will follow you around w/ his eyes and smile and laugh when you tickle him. He actually is starting to sleep a lot longer at night as well, and that sure makes things easier. He is sleeping anywhere from 5 to 7 hours a night on average, but sometimes we still have those 2-3 three hours a night naps. He is really starting to get a personality too and its a lot of fun to watch him try so hard to talk.

Noah hanging out w/ friends at the office

Here are a couple shots of Mr. Noah hard at work in the office. Finally got a shot of him in his cool sunglassess and he thinks he is the stuff when he is wearing them. Noah is really starting to smile a lot now, and he even sometimes acts like he is trying so hard to talk. I think sometimes he is getting ready to say something, but he just makes some noises and smiles. He is growing so fast now and when you lay him on his stomach he works so hard to crawl so I do not believe it will be long before we will have to keep him on a leash.
My Granddad will be coming in this week and I can not wait for him to be able to hold and meet Noah. I know he is excited about coming in to visit, but the only bad thing is they are only coming in for 3 days. I wish they were able to stay longer, but I can't complain since they are driving all the way up from Mississippi. So that means of the three days they are travling two of them which leaved little time to actually visit. So we will have to enjoy the time we have and take a lot pictures. Hopefully we will get to take Noah and visit everyone in Mississippi sometime in the future so everyone will get to meet him.
