Noah goes to his first auction
Here is a picture Leah got the other night when they met my parents at an auction. My parents love to go to auctions and this one was in Bedford so Leah and Noah got to hang out for a little while. I do not believe Noah bought anything while he was there, but I am sure they all had a good time. I have been watching the weather tonight, and it looks like we are going to get a lot of rain and maybe a little wind. Leah just got off the phone w/ both of her brothers who were at the beach today, but due to the weather they are heading back tonight to get away from the storm. We had talked about going down and meeting them, but we decided not to, and I am glad we didn't go now.

Noah Sleeping
I took a couple of photos of Noah this morning right before I left to go to work. He was sleeping like a rock and we are also starting to catch back up on our sleep. Last night he slept from around 10 till 430 this morning. I got up and gave him his bottle and he went right back to sleep. It is so nice to actually get back into a sleep pattern and I hope he will only get better w/ his sleep. Leah started back to work full time yesterday and so far everything is going great w/Noah. After tonight I start my 4 day break from work so I will be doing a lot of babysitting while Leah is at work. We have been discussing going to the beach tomorrow for a couple days but I am not sure this is the best time to go. I believe we might try to take Noah next year because he might enjoy playing in the sand next year where I think this year he is just too young.

Slept for over 6 hours
Last night Mr. Noah slept from 1230 till a little after 6 this morning and it was great. I got up this morning to goto work and thought Leah must have got up during the night to feed Noah, but she told me this morning that he slept the whole time. We might have finally got him on a decent sleep schedule and we are excited. I know I might be celebrating a little soon, but if anything we are heading down the right road.
Sorry no new pictures or videos, but I am in the process of cleaning up my computer and I have put all of them on a DVD. We plan on taking new ones anyway so hopefully starting tomorrow I will have some new ones for the site.

The whole Family
Noah in his new robe
Here is a short video I got today of the whole family hanging out in Noah's room. I was going to change Mr Noah's diaper today when he decided it was time to let loose w/ his little urine cannon. I was leaning over to get another diaper when I heard something hitting the side of the crib, and by than it was to late. Noah was peeing on the side of the crib changer and it was going back and making a nice pool for him to lay in. Well since he was all wet we decided that it was bath time. After his bath he got to try on his new robe he got from his Great Aunt Patsy. We put it on him and think he was styling in it. We also thought he kind of looked like a boxer w/ the big hood on it, but we all know he is a lover and not a fighter.
We took Noah in for his ultrasound today on his tummy and everything went fine and they didn't find anything. The doctor tells us he was looking to make sure he did not have an enlarged liver or any other masses inside him. We are all back home now and doing fine just hanging out watching tv and Noah.

Little Noah
Noah
I took this today of Noah as he was laying on the couch. Today was the first day that I had Noah to myself for the whole day. Leah went back to work for the day to help out since they are so busy. The day went fairly well with no big problems and Noah was on pretty good behavior for most of the day. I found out that it is hard to get anything done when your the only one here, because you are always wanting to keep your eyes on him to see what he is into. I can't wait till he gets a little older and able to crawl/walk around and get into even more mischief. We had to go see Leah around 5 because Noah eats like his Daddy and we ran out of food. I would have to say all in all today was a success and I am sure it is not our last day alone together.

Noah's Swing
Noah in his swing
This is Noah just hanging out in his favorite swing. He loves this swing most of the time and it will keep him busy for quite a while. We took Noah for his DRs appointment yesterday and he did very good, besides crying when he received a shot, but I still cry when I get them. haha. The doctor scheduled Noah for an ultrasound tomorrow of his belly since he had some discharge from his belly button about a week ago, but none since. The doctor just wants to make sure that everything is ok and he doesn't miss anything.
Noah weighed 9 lbs at the office and he is right where he should be according to the doc w/ all of his measurements.

This is more like it
Beans JR
Since I posted the video of Noah being a little mad, I decided to put one on here of how he normally acts. For the most part Noah is pretty nice, but he is just like any other baby and has to make sure his lungs are working properly by crying and screaming. haha.
Noah goes back to the DR today for his check-up and hopefully everything will go fine. He is growing like a weed, and Leah weighed him yesterday and he was almost nine and half pounds. Leah had her appointment yesterday and the DR said everything looked great, and we will not see him again for a year.

This is our little angel
Noah after Midnight
I was up the other night trying to figure out how to get Noah back to sleep and decided to grab the camera and show off our little baby during one of his proudest moments. This is a small sample of how the little wild man acts for us sometimes in the middle of the night. We are actually getting pretty good at figuring him out, and he is starting to sleep a lot nicer now. As you can hear on the video that Noah was starting to get a little hoarse from screaming so much this night.
Now that I have finally figured out how to get video on the site I will try to keep it updated w/ new videos of the whole family.

33 years later.....
Mom and Dad came down yesterday to watch Noah while we went out to eat w/ some friends. A new burger joint opened in Roanoke called Red Robin and we were given some free vouchers for working on the fire department to go check it out. We all thought the food was really good and were very impressed w/ the service.
Mom brought down the outfit that I had on when I was only 4 weeks old so she could put it on Noah and compare us. She also brought down the picture of me wearing the outfit so Noah could hold it while we get a picture of him. We all agreed that Noah does not look like me after comparing the photo to him. I believe ever since Noah was born that Mom has been planning this photo shoot so she could finally get my old outfit out and put it to use once again.

Growing like a weed
Little Noah is trying not to stay so little very long. Leah was able to weigh him yesterday and he was almost 9lbs. He has come a long way since he was born a little over a month ago. His sleep routine is still not completely adjusted but he does seem to be doing a little better. We are going to just keep working w/ him and hopefully he will start sleeping more at night than he does during the day. We go back to the doctor for check ups next week for Noah and Leah and I will post any new updates as I get them.

Aunt Patsy meets Noah
Aunt Patsy(Dads sister) came in yesterday to meet and visit w/ little Noah. Aunt Patsy lives in Mississippi and flew in to Richmond last week to visit. She rented a car so she could drive up to see us, but unfortunately on the way she ran into a nice 6 point deer. She totalled her car and had to go get a new rental to make the visit, but thankfully she was not hurt in the accident. I guess the funny thing about her killing a buck is her husband Tommy and son Michael are big time hunters. So now Aunt Patsy can say she is one up on them and she has killed a 6 pointer in VA.
Patsy is our family's big family tree expert and she has our families going back many, many generations so we can see where we came from. We all went out to eat Monday night including Noah and he did great.
I wanted to let everyone know I went back to the Dr this morning for my stress test and according to the Dr everything looks normal, well as normal as everything can look for me. I had to get on the tread mill and get my heartbeat up to a certain level which was a lot more work than I thought it was going to be. Mom and Dad also spent the night last night since I had my test early this morning and Leah had to go in to work for a couple hours this morning as well. Everything seems to be getting back to the norm around here and hopefully no more Dr visits except the regular check ups for Noah.

Uncle Perry pays a visit
My brother Perry came to visit last week and was able to meet Noah for the first time. He also brought a little toy airplane that when Noah gets a little older he will be able to ride around the house. Even though Noah is not big enough yet to ride the plane we went on and sat him on it for this picture and he is already a natural pilot.
Dad always likes to beat me in poker when he comes down and this day he did just that. Than Perry sat down to play a couple hands and he almost wiped Dad out in no time. According to Dad if he wins it is skill, but if anyone else does it was all luck. haha
I also wanted to tell everyone that I am doing fine, and if you haven't heard I spent most of Thursday night in the hospital for heart palpitations. I was working that night and just couldn't get them to stop so the guys at work talked me into going to the ER to be checked out. Everything looks fine for now and I am back to work. I have to go next week for some more test and a follow-up at the Dr's office.

Noah visits the Firestation
Leah and Noah made a trip to visit me at the firestation yesterday so I couldn't resist taking his picture w/ the truck. Noah decided he was going to sleep through the entire visit and he only opened his eyes for the guys a couple brief times. When that boy wants to sleep I believe he could sleep through a tornado.
Leahs first night alone went fairly well except for his midnight to two rampage. I don't know what it is but the little guy changes into a different person for those two hours and nothing will satisfy him. Other than that Leah said it was a pretty uneventfull night.
At the firestation I slept the entire night w/out any calls and when I woke up I felt a little guilty. I can't complain about the sleep, it was well needed and it was nice for my first night back at the station to get a full night of sleep.

Vacation is over
Guess the vacation is finally over and it is time to go back to work. I have actually missed being at work and hope I haven't forgot how to get there. The firehouse is like your family away from home and I have to admit I have missed it.
I just hope that Noah will cooperate a little tonight so I can get some rest before tomorrow. Leah said she will do most of the work tonight since I go back tomorrow but I still hope Leah gets her sleep as well. Mom is on stand-by to come over and help just in case Leah might need her. I know I am going to miss the little man but he will be fine w/ his Mom and I will be gone for only one day.
Rock-a-by-baby
Joe and Diane bought a swing for Noah to use while he is there and we put him in it yesterday and it knocked him out. We might have to invest in one of these for our house to help put him to sleep when we are having problems.
This is my last day off of work since Leah gave birth to Noah. I took off 22 days to help out at home w/ Noah and it has flown by. It feels more like I have only been gone a week from work. We work 24 hour shifts so starting tomorrow Leah will be on her own for the whole day and night, but hopefully it want be so bad. I think she might even make a trip tomorrow to the firehouse so Noah can meet all the guys at the station. It is going to be weird leaving for that long after spending all of this time w/ Noah, but I has to be done.
I hope nobody makes any crying noises at work tomorrow night, because I might get up and try to rock them back to sleep.haha

Noah getting spoiled
We made a trip to the Funny Farm yesterday w/ Noah so he could meet some of his new family. Weezie(Great Aunt), Laney(Cousin), K-Mac(Cousin), and Tammy(Pseudo Aunt) took turns holding Noah and he was eating every bit of it up. All the ladies are from the Carolinas except Tammy and she lives here in town. Even with all the attention Noah was receiving he stayed asleep for the most part.
Whatever they all did to little Noah we need to figure it out, because he slept like a rock most of the night. I guess all the excitement must have wore him out. Kiwi and I also got some pictures of Noah in his first PPC and I will putting those on the tree top flyers site which has a link below if you would like to see them.

Night Owl
We have determined this little man is a night owl. Even when we try to keep him up most of the day so he will sleep at night he still parties all night. He has some kind of talent to know exactly when you lay down or get that first bite of food in your mouth.
He seems to be doing a little bit better but we are still working on his sleep schedule. Last night Leah stayed up w/ him most of the night and now she is playing catch up on her sleep. We finally installed the baby monitor so we can see and hear Noah from our bedroom. This is really nice, because now if we hear him make a noise we can spy in on him and see what he is doing. It is also nice to be able to check on him when he is not making any noise w/out getting out of bed which could wake him up.
Some of Leah's family came in last night to visit so we are going to head over to the Joe's house today when Leah wakes up.

Starting to smile
Little Noah is starting to smile for us, but we just can not catch it on film. Their is no reason when he smiles so we never know when to be ready for it. Everytime we try to catch it he frowns or starts crying.
Mia came over last night to visit the little man and he just wouldn't wake up for her. Mia is a PA(Physician Assistant) that works at Bedford Family Urgent Care. Since Leah has been out since giving birth to Noah, Mia and Diane have had to put in a lot of extra hours to cover the office. I know they will be glad when Leah can come back and help lighten their load. Leah's Mom Diane is a work-a-holic and I have no idea how she does it. She works a lot of hours and never seems to get tired or run down.
You want see to many pictures of Diane because she always insist on me not taking her picture, but don't worry I will still sneak a couple even to her disapproval.
Racoon Eyes
As you can see from the picture of Grandma that she took a pretty good shot to the face. No, it wasn't Granddad that hit her, but she was out in the yard trying to pull up a board w/ a hammer when it slipped and the hammer nailed her in the forehead. If you know my Mom than you know she can't sit still and has to always be doing something so this actually comes as no surprise to all of us.
They came down on Wednesday and spent the night w/ us so we could get a good nights sleep. It was so nice to sleep in our own bed for the majority of the night knowing Noah would be fine. When Mom comes down she usually doesn't get any sleep cause she wants to hold Noah as much as she can while she is here.
Little Noah did what he is really good at and he let loose while Mom was trying to change his diaper in the middle of the night. She said the little yellow stream was going everywhere including all over her and the floor. I want to thank you Mom and Dad for coming down and helping out again, and you know you guys are welcome anytime, but Mom is not allowed to use anything that could hurt her.haha

6lbs 7oz New Diet
We had Noah weighed today while he was at the office and he is now up to 6lbs and 7ozs. We were not surprised since we changed his diet from milk to what you see in the picture. He seems to sleep longer and sounder at night now. No, I am just kidding, but he is growing like a weed now, and we were both surprised at how much weight he has gained.
The Dr told us today that everything looked and sounded great with Noah. He told us to try to adjust him to our sleep schedule and have him more active during the day so he will sleep better at night. I think that might be easier said than done, but we are sure going to try. He does make a pretty good couch potato though doesn't he. He is taking more and more after his Dad every day. haha
More Dr appointments
We just got back from Leah's Dr appointment and all is well. Leah has had a fever the last couple nights and we worried she had some kind of infection. Everything looked fine this morning and now we have to take Noah in for his follow-up from the hospital.
I have been to the Dr's office or hospital more in the last 2 weeks than I believe I have my whole life. Hopefully it will start to slow down and everything will start getting more routine from here on. I will try to get some new pictures today of Noah after his appointment. We both have our fingers crossed hoping that little Noah has gained some more weight. I know the little guy eats all the time, but their is that problem of him relieving himself twice as much.haha..

Tinkle Time
We went over to the In-laws yesterday so I could go up flying if the wind would cooperate. Little Noah got to visit w/ his grandparents and his cousins. I believe he likes all the attention and he always is showing off. Unfortunately while Granddad was holding him last night Noah decided that it was time to relieve himself. By the way I forgot to tell you that he had the Huggie Diapers on and those do not fit Noah very well so they leak pretty bad. Joe said he felt something warm and wet on his stomach and sure enough Noah had let loose. Joe was a great sport and said that Noah was allowed to do that since he was his Grandson.
